Designer Abduction: Kidnapping For Hire
February 24th, 2010 - 2:42 am ICT by Angela Kaye Mason ( Leave a comment )Paris, France Feb 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For citizens of France who have grown bored with the “normal” ways of thrill seeking, a new adrenaline rush is available, for a price. For 900 euros, which is $1,226 in American dollars, Ultime Realite will perform a kidnapping, complete with binding, gagging, and several hour long imprisonment. That is the basic package, and several other options are available.
They can also include more action packed abductions which would include such escapades as an escape, and helicopter chase, a rescue, or basically whatever the “victim” can dream up, all at a more elevated cost, of course. “Basically, anything is possible. I identify what the customer wants and then try to put it into action,” said Georges Cexus, 28, who founded the company in January.
Once the fantasy has been decided upon, clients are asked to sign a contract and a liability waiver, but the time and date of the kidnapping remains a surprise, in order to add excitement. The longest possible time for the imprisonment phase of the fantasy is 11 hours, to keep clients from getting bored.
After only being in business for a few weeks, the company already has an average of two client requests per day. They hope to one day branch out, and include such choices as attending your own funeral, and spending a night in the morgue. “Let’s say it will really be about bringing to life the client’s worst fear, the thing that’s lurking in the back of his mind and he’s never dared talk about,” said Cexus.
A spokesperson for the French police said that they have no problems legally with the service, but that they would need to be forewarned so that they are prepared for any emergency calls, since bystanders may witness the “kidnapping”. “With regard to the police and penal code, there’s no reason for us to ban this service, as the victim is consenting which means there’s no crime,” the spokesperson said.
