Illinois, Nov 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Halloween party turned ugly, when there was a confrontation and a guest started shooting erratically which killed a DePaul University student fatally. This all happened at a Humboldt Park Halloween party on early Sunday.

‘About 1:15 a.m., two people were shot at a party in the 1700 block of North Rockwell Street, where a Halloween party was taking place’, according to police. Francisco was killed and a woman was injured.

Francisco Valencia, 21, was shot at and he was rushed to the hospital where, he was pronounced dead at 4 a.m. at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. ‘He died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide’, according to a Sunday autopsy.

Partygoers Valencia and Camacho had come down the stairs to invite a guest into the party when “blinding gunfire shots” were aimed in their direction, said Alejandro Sanchez, a partygoer. He thought it was a Halloween prank until he saw Camacho on the ground bleeding.

“Three seconds after we’re done greeting each other, a man walked up, took out a gun and fired,” Sanchez said. “Frankie and the others were fast to react, to run and dodge it. … It was only after he was done firing that I started walking backwards.”

The police are investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made so far.
