Oct 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Dennis Earl Bradford, the suspected molester of Jennifer Schuett, was arrested not far from his home on Oct 13, 2009 on the basis of a DNA test.
Bradford is a 40 year old welder living in North Little Rock. He had kidnapped 8-year-old Jennifer from her bedroom, taken her to an isolated place and raped her. He had then slit her throat and left her there, sure she would not live to tell the tale.
Unfortunately for Bradford, she did. Nineteen years after the unthinkable crime, Schuett returns to tell her story to the investigators. She has been travelling the hard road for justice for long, and she thanks the investigators who has stood by her all along. It’s not just justice for herself that drove her, she insists, but also the desire to ensure that the man who committed those unspeakable crimes against her doesn’t do it to anybody else.
As she recounts her horror story, she becomes tearful. She had woken up after the assault to find herself naked, bleeding and covered with ants. Her voice box was cut, so nobody could hear her. She was discovered 14 hours later by some children and rushed to a Gavelston hospital.
The police zeroed in on Bradford based on the striking similarity of the sketch drawn according to Schuett’s descriptions to Bradford’s snap in his driving license. Their DNAs matched, and there was overwhelming evidence in his track record. He had served time for rape of a woman. The modus operandi was the same, as he had slit her throat too.

As a parent, this story would not let me go. He would not be living had this been my child. That being said, justice will handle him and in the end he will have to answer to a higher authority. That should provide more than enough sleepless nights the closer he gets to that reality.
