WEST CHESTER, Ohio (BNO NEWS) — Several people were injured after a deck collapsed in West Chester, Ohio on Saturday evening, officials told BNO News.

The collapse happened around 9.15 p.m. local time at a home on Woodbridge Lane where a wedding reception was being held. The initial call came in to emergency services at 9.20 p.m. and stated that up to 50 people had been injured in the accident. During a news conference, fire officials said that only five people sustained injuries.

All victims were transported to West Chester Medical Center with minor injuries. The deck height was about ten feet, according to a dispatcher.
