Dead Body Found Suspected To Be Of Morgan Harrington

Jan 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A body has been found on a country farm in Albermarle which is suspected to be that of missing Morgan Harrington, the Tech Student from Virginia. An autopsy is pending and is expected to reveal the identity of the body. However, the authorities say that they “are fairly certain” that this body belongs to none other than Morgan Harrington herself. The police have not made any kind of information public but reportedly they found some evidence at the scene which pointed towards Morgan Harrington’s death.
The 20-year-old girl has been reported to be missing from last year, October 17, 2009. Morgan Harrington was at a Metallica concert along with some of her friends when they all got separated and Morgan Harrington has not been seen since. Even the band has made an effort to find the Virgina girl and have donated around $50,000. The body was found not more than 10 miles from the disappearance site. The farm (742 acres in size) had not undergone search earlier. The body was discovered during a routine fence check that was carried out by the farmer. He also reported that the body was “dumped while the hay was waist high and that snow and other weather conditions would have effected the body as well”.
Once the body is identified as Morgan Harrington’s, then all hopes of finding her alive will be thrashed. 1600 people have contributed their time and efforts in the search of the missing girl since the time she was reported missing. However, if the victim is not the Tech Student then the police will have a new case on their hands.
