Day light savings time 2009 schedule for Europe

The concept of Daylight Savings Time came from George Vernon Hudson in 1895. But historians have notified that Romans used different clock scales in ancient times at different parts of the years.
Daylight Savings Time has always caused controversy. Churchill said once in support of Daylight Savings Time that it affords “the opportunities for the pursuit of health and happiness among the millions of people who live in this country”.
Time Zones
There are four major different time zones across the whole of Europe:
Western European Time (WET), observed in Portugal, Faroe Islands and the Canary Islands and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) which is in the same time zone and observed in Iceland, Ireland and United Kingdom’s main islands (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland). The Daylight saving time starts at 01:00 (local time), when the clocks are forwarded by one hour to 02:00 (local time), except in Iceland, which does not observe the daylight saving schedule.
Central Europe Time (CET), observed in countries including Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark (mainland), France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (mainland), Sweden and Switzerland. The Daylight saving time starts at 02:00 (local time), when the clocks are forwarded by one hour to 03:00 local time.
Eastern European Time (EET), observed in countries including Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Kaliningrad (Russia), Turkey, Ukraine. The Daylight saving time starts at 03:00 (local time), when the clocks are forwarded by one hour to 04:00 (local time).
Moscow Standard Time (MSK). This is followed by most of the western parts of Russia extending to Moscow are in the Moscow time zone, The Daylight saving time starts at 02:00 (local time) when the clocks are forwarded by one hour to 03:00 (local time).
