Arizona, Oct.27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A professor of the Arizona State University was the unwilling witness to a gruesome death of one of the students. David Solnick, a third year graduation student of the university, shot himself to death in the presence of the professor. The name of the professor is Mookesh Patel. Solnick was fifty nine years old at the time of death.

The incident took place around a quarter to twelve in the morning inside the main campus of the university at Tempe. Solnick was inside the professor’s office at the College of South Building, reportedly talking to him, when he shot himself. No insight has been leaned so far into the matter. The reason of his committing suicide remains unknown. Apparently, he had just pulled out a gun while in the middle of the conversation and had killed himself. The news that he had possessed a gun shook up many of the students and their parents. Reportedly, nobody knew that he kept a gun with him.

David Solnick was a third year graduate student at the university. He was studying at the School of Design. College authorities said that he was a meritorious student and there was no recent problem regarding his studies either. They further reported that there were also no allegations of behavioral problems against him. There were many people in the building when the incident occurred. The building was immediately evacuated following a notification to the students via text message. Police are investigating the matter. Staff and students who knew the deceased are being provided professional help to cope with their loss. The university expressed their deepest regrets at the unfortunate occurrence.
