Dallas, Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For one Texas teenager, her 16th birthday was extra sweet. For a present, her father gave her keys to a $1.8 mansion in Dallas.

Businessman Dave Anderson figured out that the 550-square-metre property will be the best gift for his daughter on her birthday. Subsequently, he tied a pink ribbon on the house and presented it to daughter Kevyn Brooke. Shortly after the presentation of the mansion on Saturday, Dave drove Kevyn back to the family house where they had a party.

The Dallas Morning News reported that Kevyn had suggested to her father to buy the mansion for her in the past but had no idea that the Dave had taken it seriously. The report said when Kevyn was presented with the keys, Dave had to tell her several times that it was hers before she could believe it.

The reported quoted real estate agent Vicki White as saying that, “He had to tell her several times that it was her house. She started screaming and crying — I did hear him say ‘I love you baby’ and she said the same thing.”

Dave has lived with Kevyn as a single parent ever since he lost his wife. The report says he will move in the mansion with Kevyn.
