Philadelphia, Apr 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cybill Shepherd’s son – Cyrus Zacharia Shepherd-Oppenheim was arrested on charges of theft, but he can still avoid having criminal charges in his record. The court said that if he is able to prove his ‘good character’ to the court, then the criminal charges for burglary could be dropped too. A judge of the Philadelphia Municipal Court has ordered him to join a pretrial diversion program, through which the first time offenders can avoid prosecution and get the criminal charges off their record.

It may be recalled that the 22 years old Cyrus Zacharia Shepherd-Oppenheim was flying by an United Airlines plane in January 2010, when he stole items from the hand bags of the fellow passengers. The passengers were sleeping and Cyrus Zacharia Shepherd-Oppenheim took advantage of the fact, and stole some items. However some passengers saw that he was acting in a strange manner, so they raised their doubts to the airline’s crewmembers. When the plane landed at the Philadelphia International Airport, then he was immediately arrested there. The fellow passengers said that he had stolen cash, camera and other items from the cabin baggage.

And now, if Cyrus Zacharia Shepherd-Oppenheim successfully completes the pretrial diversion program, then all the criminal charges would be dropped against him.
