The phrase Cyber Monday refers to the Monday, which immediately follows the Black Friday. The Black Friday is actually the ceremonial kick-off of the holiday online shopping season in the United States between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The term Cyber Monday was first drafted in 2005, when it was observed that Americans were still in the shopping mode and were returning to their offices on Monday, after the Thanksgiving weekend and then they were taking advantage of the high speed Internet at their work-places and shopping to their hearts content.
