Connecticut, Jan 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) An incident in Connecticut has proved to be one of those classic dumb crook cases that appears only on comedy shows. The Connecticut police has reported that they have been able to capture a couple of crooks, thanks to their harebrained act. The two crooks, Ryan Densmore and Travis McKeaveney, hail from Middleton and Wallingford in Connecticut, respectively. Both are in their 20’s, Ryan Densmore- 23 and Travis McKeaveney- 22. The police had been able to catch the two when they got lost on their way as they were taking away the booty and had chosen to ask the police for directions.
The two thieves had been on their way to freedom, taking with them the eight catalytic converters that they had stolen from the various parking lots of some automotive businesses located in Branford. Unfortunately for the two, they seemed to have lost their directions on the way, and instead of asking some passerby, they had zeroed in on a police officer, Officer Eula, whom they asked the direction to the Interstate-91.
The officer gave them the directions, but as they drove away, he noticed that the rear license plate of the car was covered in something. This aroused his suspicion, and the crooks were stopped in the Interstate-95. An investigation followed, and the converters were found in the car, along with saws and blades meant for cutting metal. The two are currently under police custody. They have been put on trail for larceny and burglary. The foolishness of the burglars is indeed amazing, as commented by Police Chief John DeCarlo.
