Criminal investigation opened in the case of the missing Oregon boy

Police had initially ruled out any case of ‘criminal activity’ in the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman. He was last seen on June 4. Police initially ruled that the case was that of a missing child, who might be in danger.
The police initially searched for the boy with a good search team, but after fruitlessly competing the search, they think there might be more to the case than just a missing child. However police failed to disclose why they have started investigations into the case. But they maintained there are number of leads that they are following.
The police have also announced that they will reward anyone who provides information on the missing boy with $25,000. They police however maintained that they do not currently know the whereabouts of the boy.
However the parents of Kyron have made passionate plea to the public, to help them with information on the whereabouts of their son. And the police also said that they would welcome any information at all, because sometimes it is the small details to fix the bigger picture.
