Buffalo, Nov 23 (THAINDIAN NEW) CBS News reported that the Consumer Product Safety Commission is about to announce one of the largest cribs recalls in US history ever. The crib recall is not for all the cribs, but rather for cribs that involve drop-down sides that could be injurious to children.

Other details about the largest crib recall in US are awaited.

It may be recalled that 2 years earlier also there had been another crib recall that also involved the drop down sides. A lawsuit was also filed Simplicity’s Crib N Changer Combo. The lawsuit said that the drop-side of Simplicity’s Crib N Changer Combo failed and detached from the crib, creating a huge gap that entrapped the child and led to her wrongful death at her home in Boca Raton on September 19, 2007. Prior to that date, there had been many incidents and multiple infant deaths involving drop-side failures in cribs manufactured and sold by Simplicity, Inc.
Then a recall was launched by the company after this lawsuit.
