Hong Kong, Feb 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A court in Hong Kong said that the will produced by Nina Wang’s longtime lover is a ‘forgery’. Tony Chan was the feng shui master of the late billionaire Nina Wang, and was also her longtime lover. After her death he had produced a will, to claim the multibillion-dollar estate, but his hopes were dashed as the judge deemed it as a forgery.
Hong Kong Judge Johnston Lam said that the 2006 will that was produced by Mr. Tony Chan was a fake. “The 2002 will was the product of Nina’s charitable aspiration, an aspiration consistently held by her both before and after her probate dispute,” Judge Lam said in his verdict.
Nina Wang was married to Teddy Wang who was the owner of the multibillion-dollar Chinachem property empire. However he was kidnapped and he disappeared in 1990. And in 2005, Nina Wang gained control of her husband’s empire.
Now in the wake of the will being a fake, the whole estate is going to the Chinachem Charitable Foundation Ltd., which was named by Ms. Wang in a 2002 will as the sole beneficiary of her fortune. She said in her will, that she dreamed that her foundation would try to create a type of Nobel Prize for China. She wanted that the United Nations secretary-general, the Chinese premier, and the chief executive of Hong Kong would give the prize away.
