Sep 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Prosecutors described the “brutal” murder of a 30-year-old IT expert - Ben Gardner in the court.

Prosecutor, Brian Altman described to the jury how Ben was hacked down and booted several times on the head. Altman told the court that Ben and his girlfriend, Allana Devine, 28 years old went out to celebrate Allana’s birthday on October 31, 2009.

Altman told the court that while Allana was waiting outside a kebab shop for Ben, a gang of four people approached her and snatched her black wig and pirate’s hat. According to Altman, Allana never reacted to that.

As she and Ben made their way to Allana’s home, they spotted the gang again and Allana demanded her items back from gang. That infuriated the gang who abused her verbally.

Altman said Ben was then punched to the ground and the three men accused of murder Daniel Ransom, 21 years old, Ross Collender, 21 years old and Jordan Dixon, 18 years old started kicking his head like “taking a penalty” in turns.

Ben suffered catastrophic brain injury and died on November 1, 2009. The three accused, all of Carshalton have denied the charges against them. Another accused person who has been charged with assisting an offender by harboring him has denied the charge as well.
