Couple Gives Condoms To Teenagers on Halloween

In the case of Kathleen Harris, she felt that giving out condoms to trick-or-treaters, who were at least 16 years old will be the best way to help fight the menace of HIV/AIDS. At least that was what she believed for the past 24 years.
That is not the case anymore because the father of a 14-year-old that received such a treat from Kathleen is angry that she wants to interfere in the upbringing of his daughter. He claims that his right to raise his daughter in the way he sees deserving has been violated by the actions of Kathleen.
The father - Daniel Cote believes that condoms are not the answer to teenage pregnancy and the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases which HIV/AIDS is part. Kathleen however believes that having a condom does not necessarily mean indulging in sex. She said she gives the condoms out so that the teenagers will be reminded to go safe if they want to have sex. Kathleen’s husband, Daniel Harris also supports the actions of his wife.
America has relatively high rate of STD rate compared to other first world or industrialized countries.
