Connecticut couple indicted for child sex trafficking
March 5th, 2010 - 5:04 am ICT by BNO NewsHARTFORD, CONNECTICUT (BNO NEWS) – A Connecticut couple was indicted Thursday for child sex trafficking, prosecutors said.
Jarrell Sanderson, 30, of New Britain, and Hassonah Delia, 23, of East Hartford, allegedly recruited and forced two 14 year-old-girls to engage in commercial sex acts at hotels in Hartford and East Hartford in July 2009.
Both Sanderson and Delia pleaded not guilty to the charges and are pending trial, but if convicted, they face a maximum term of life imprisonment and a fine of up to $250,000, on each of the five counts: two counts of sex trafficking of children, two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, and one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children.
