Concord, NH man sentenced for pizza shop robbery

CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE (BNO NEWS) – A Concord, New Hampshire man was sentenced to 80 months in federal prison for interference with commerce by threats or violence, prosecutors announced on Tuesday.

Robert Grey Boyd, 28, was also ordered to pay $2,056 in restitution to the victims and to serve three years of supervised release after his prison term.

On June 7, 2009, Boyd entered the Checkmate Pizza and immediately threw a brick to the cashier, narrowly missing the cashier’s head. He then brandished a large knife and demanded money. He also gathered other employee’s money and he even took one wallet.

Boyd was arrested on June 11th by the Concord Police Department following public identification. The knife used was also recovered.
