November 10th, 2010 - 11:42 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonNov 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) When police in Germany underwent the high speed chase of a super-bike which exceeded speeds of 145 miles an hour, they were perhaps expecting to find a young speed junkie behind the wheel. Officers were quite surprised when instead, a sixty-eight year old retiree was discovered after they demanded the driver remove his helmet.
The chase of the leather-clad biker took place on highway 555 near Cologne in Germany. The offender was soon dubbed ‘Cologne’s Fastest Retiree’ after he was pulled over on the Suzuki Hayabusa, known to be the world’s fastest production motorcycle.
The unnamed driver was banned from driving for several months, and given a nine-hundred and thirty dollar fine, according to a report from ‘Bild’.
