Coalition soldier dies, others injured after blast at Afghan army base
April 19th, 2010 - 9:18 pm ICT by BNO NewsKABUL (BNO NEWS) — One coalition soldier was killed and others were injured after an explosion at an Afghan National Army facility in eastern Afghanistan on Monday, the NATO-led ISAF alliance said.
NATO said the blast happened at a facility in Kabul province. Several coalition service members were transported to an ISAF medical facility for treatment, it said.
The nationalities of the casualties were not immediately released.
The fatality brings the number of coalition troops killed in Afghanistan so far this year to 154, most of them from the United States, according to a BNO News tally.
