shoppingNov.27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If you are above the age of 50 and at the same time are looking for decent discounts on your purchases then Clinton Crossing Premium Outlet has just the right deal for you. The popular shopping outlet has undertaken an initiative according to which it is offering discounts and perks to buyers above the age of 50. This new venture is all set to grab the attention of the senior buyers and increase sales accordingly.

The premium shopping outlets provide “50 Plus Shopper Perks” specifically on Tuesday’s and at the same time would also be providing 10 per cent discount on the entire purchase in certain selected stores. On being inquired as to why the senior discount age has been fixed at the age of 50, Robyn Rifkin, the general manager of the Clinton Crossing Premium Outlet has also emphasized that the age of 50 seems to be the industry standard. Moreover, he also added that as the American Association of Retired Persons has set the senior age mark at 50,so the premium shopping outlet also decided to begin discounts from that age.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Millea, spokesperson for the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), Connecticut has expressed that the standard senior age starts at 50 when the second half of life begins. As a result, it becomes obvious that since 50 people are liable to get perks and reductions in price which is termed as the “senior discount”. Currently, the AARP has around 40 million members with Connecticut alone accounting for around 610,000 members. However, many people have counteracted the idea of setting the age of 50 as the senior age mark.
