Miami, Dec 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Claudia De La Rosa’s boss was running late for his flight. And she thought she had nailed the perfect way in order to make him get aboard the American Airlines flight. But sadly it is now coming back to haunt her. She phoned the airport with a false bomb report, so that the flight would get delayed and her boss would be able to be on time for it then.
31-year-old Claudia De La Rosa was charged on Thursday for making a false report of planting a bomb. Miami International Airport officials received a call and an e-mail on Wednesday claiming that a bomb was planted on an American Airlines plane. It was Claudia’s idea to delay the plane while her boss reached the airport.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel quoted from the arrest report: “The flight was delayed while MDPD searched the aircraft and all the luggage.” No bomb was found on the plane.
Whereas the police officers and the investigators traced the email back to her using the IP address. The investigators reached the office and arrested De La Rosa. She was then questioned and she reportedly told the police that her boss had been booked on the flight to Honduras, but she had caused him to be late. “In an attempt to delay the flight,” said her arrest report, “she called in the bomb threat.”
De La Rosa was being held on $7,500 bail.
