Chicago, Nov 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A woman who was mauled by a 200-pound chimpanzee has revealed her severely mangled face on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show.” She came dressed very smartly in a skirt-jacket to the show and her face was completely covered with a veil. After some time she allowed Oprah to remove the veil, so that the world could see her face, which had literally, been eaten away by a pet 200-pound chimpanzee attack.
The attack happened in mid-February and has severely affected Charla Nash as now she is without her hands, nose, lips and sight. “I don’t ask a whole lot about my injuries… I know that I have my forehead,” she said. She now drinks her meals “with a straw through a small hole where her mouth used to be.” She had a large scar near the bottom of her face and a large piece of skin where her nose had been. The chimpanzee ripped off Nash’s hands, nose, lips and eyelids and she has been in hospital since.
She remains in quiet a stable condition at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Charla Nash said that she didn’t remember anything from the attack, and doesn’t want to. “I want to get healthy. I don’t want to wake up with nightmares,” she said.
Doctors said that the only way she could get back to her normal life was with a face transplant.

The victim needs prayer and all the social support she can get from citizens all over the world. People need to reallize that their pets can cause this type of trauma to anyone who enters their home. I hope this picture of the victim will help people to understand that “never” can happen.
