Spencer Haven, Oct 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A group of children have assaulted a 101-year-old man at Spencer Haven in Northampton.

The incident, which has shocked several people, is not so shocking to the police. The police in Northampton say the case might not be an isolated case. They believe there may be several similar unreported cases in the town.

The incident happened on Saturday and the older man was left with bruises on his arm, wrist, face and swollen nose. His injuries needed to be taken care of in the hospital and at his age, it is a miracle that he did not break any bones because that will have been more deadly for the pensioner.

What makes the incident more disheartening is the fact that the man has a hearing impairment and bad sight. The boys attacked him from behind and it is not clear why they did such a thing.

The police investigation into the incident continues but the police warn that this might not be an isolated case. The police said, “It is possible that this may not be an isolated incident. There may have been similar incidents in recent weeks that have not been reported”.
