New York, Oct 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Chevrolet Volt has finally been released. The car has been highly anticipated and expectations have grown over the years.
However the good news is that the car managed to meet some of those hyped expectations that were set for the car.
The hybrid car offers the affordability that is needed on the road with the current prices of fuel. The car can run for 40 miles when it is fully charged. The car however has four 1.4 litter gas cylinders that are automatically called into function when the car’s battery runs down.
The car still requires you to buy gasoline. If you were thinking of saving some money on gas, you can still do that considering the amount of consumption the car needs per mileage. The total cylinder capacity gives the car additional 310 miles of driving.
However the EPA is yet to finalize the car’s ratings. The car however still lags behind Toyota’s Prius. Aside the consumption, the prices of the two cars is hugely gapped.
While the latest model of the Prius is being offered for $21,400, the Volt is being sold at a cost nearly twice that at $40,280.
It must however be noted that the two cars are different in several ways.
