Santa Monica, May 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cher’s daughter ‘Chastity’ is a man now, and that too legally. She had undergone a sex change operation last year and the judge ordered that Chaz could now change her name and gender in a Santa Monica court. His parents were Cher and Sonny Bono, and he had filed the petition in court in March, to be allowed to legally change his name and gender. After the court hearing, he said that he was absolutely happy and delighted with the court hearing.

Chaz said that, “It’s just a legal thing and I’m really happy that it is taken care of and I can change my ID and everything, which is awesome.” Then the photographers stationed outside the court asked him, that since now he was a man officially, so what was his preference in beer. To this, Chaz said that, “I don’t drink”. Then a videographer asked him, if he preferred boxing or mixed martial arts. Then Chaz sported a huge grin and said that, “both” and then got into his car and sped off.

His attorney Kristina Wertz said in a statement, “The court granted the petition and Chaz now has a court name change and a court order recognizing him as male. Chaz couldn’t be happier. This is an important step in his transition and will allow him to change a variety of his identity documents to show who he truly is.”
