king3Mar 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The tragic death of Chelsea King saw an ending in a happy note, with all her friends and fellow athletes attending the memorial service held in her honor. The memorial service was held in the school she attended, the Poway High School. The memorial was held in the premises of the school, in the football and athletic track that the senior student regularly practiced in. The memorial was attended by a huge number of people, more than 6,000. The attendees of the memorial were not only the members of the family of Chelsea King and her friends, but also all the members of the school.

Chelsea King had gone missing sometime in the last week of February, after she had gone hiking. When she failed to return home even long after the stipulated time, a search was sent up, and after some days, the police discovered the remains of a body in a grave, which they tentatively identified to be hers. It is believed that the 17-year-old senior had been the victim of a sex offender. The parents of Chelsea King are now trying to find help, asking people to divulge any information they might have of the tragic incident.

However, the memorial service of Chelsea King was devoid of all the pain that had befallen the family and close circles of the murdered girl. It was more about the celebration of the person that was Chelsea King, as her friends and family members spoke about her, and shared memories of times spent with her. All those present were given a sunflower each, which they held up in memory of the teenager.
