New York, Aug 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It’s finally done, former first daughter Chelsea Clinton has finally tied the knot with her childhood sweetheart Marc Mezvinsky in a glamorous ceremony, which was attended by over 400 guests at the upstate New York town of Rhinebeck.

A statement released by former US president Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said they were proud and happy to see their daughter getting married. The statement said the ceremony was perfect and they are happy to welcome the groom into their family. They also thanked the residents of Rhinebeck for their hospitality and other well-wishers for their support.

Bill and Hillary said that, “We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day.”

The celebrity list of invited guests included Madeleine Albright, Mary Steenburgen, Steven Bing and Vera Wang, who was the designer of Chelsea’s wedding costume also attended the wedding.

Chelsea Clinton as well as her bridesmaids wore cute dresses from the Vera Wang collection, while Mezvinsky was dressed in a posh suit from famous designer Burberry.

However Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Streisand, and Steven Spielberg were all apparently not invited to the wedding. The couple will be heading out for a honeymoon at a secret location.
