Rhinebeck, New York, Aug 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton married her longtime beau, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky on Saturday in the quaint town of Rhinebeck outside New York. The 30-year-old former first daughter tied the knot with her boyfriend, in a lavish ceremony that was held in upstate New York along the Hudson River, with a number of esteemed celebs gracing the occasion.

After Chelsea Clinton walked down the aisle with the 31-year-old investment banker, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Democrat President Bill Clinton released a statement that read that their daughter married Marc Mezvinsky in a beautiful ceremony In Astor Courts in the presence of family and close friends. The statement also went on to thank the people of Rhinebeck for giving such a warn welcome and everyone else for their best wishes for the newly-weds on this special day of their lives. According to reports that have surfaced, the much-anticipated wedding was solemnized by a rabbi and a reverend as the groom is a Jewish while the bride is Methodist while the couple also read the poem “The Life I Have” by Leo Marks.

While as many as 400 people were invited to the gala wedding, hundreds of others swarmed the area prior to the ceremony hoping to catch a glimpse of couple and the power packed guests who attended the event. However, the wedding was kept out of the reach for the media after the roads and airspace around Rhinebeck was shut down on Saturday for the occasion.
