Washington DC, Nov 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former US President Bill Clinton’s daughter Chelsea Clinton is engaged to be married to her long time boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky. A spokesman for the former President has confirmed the news to the media. The couple got engaged on Thanksgiving Day.

Marc Mezvinsky works as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs. Marc is the son of former Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, D-Iowa, and former Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy, D-Penn. His father was in the news when he pleaded guilty in 2002 to duping investors to the tune of $10 million after he got embroiled in a Nigerian scam.

Chelsea Clinton is 29 years old and the only child of the former US President Bill Clinton and the present Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She is currently attending graduate school at Columbia University’s School of Public Health.

Both of them met in Washington DC as teenagers and their friendship blossomed into love when they both started attending the Stanford University. There were rumors that they would marry earlier this year in August, but Hillary Clinton said that they were baseless. Now they plan to wed the next year in the summer. Both of them are currently based in New York, where Marc is working at Goldman Sachs and Chelsea is studying at Columbia University’s School of Public Health.
