New York, Dec 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former US President Bill Clinton and the present Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s daughter Chelsea Clinton is engaged to be married to her long time boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky. A spokesman for the former President has confirmed the news to the media.

Both of them when they were teenagers and their friendship grew into love when they attended the Stanford University together. As of now, both are based in New York, where Marc works as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs and Chelsea is currently attending graduate school at Columbia University’s School of Public Health.

The engagement happened on Thanksgiving Day and the just engaged couple broke the happy news to all their friends in an email, and from where the news leaked out to the media. Later a spokesperson for Bill Clinton also confirmed the happy news. The wedding is expected to take place next year in the summer. The media was abuzz with wedding rumors in August this year too, but Hillary Clinton brushed them aside.

Marc is the son of former Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, D-Iowa, and former Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy, D-Penn. His father was in the news when he pleaded guilty in 2002 to duping investors to the tune of $10 million after he got embroiled in a Nigerian scam. Before serving time in prison, Ed Mezvinsky was a Philadelphia lawyer and self-styled international businessman too, but he was always a scammer at heart. Apparently he hatched a string of fraudulent activity the FBI later said infiltrated nearly every one of his business deals between the time period from 1980 to 2000.
