Oct 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chaz Bono, an American musician and LGBT rights advocate has been in the limelight for his much publicized sex change operation. Chez was born Chastity Sun Bono and is the only daughter of legendary American singing couple Cher and Sonny.

However, in an 1995 interview to ‘The Advocate’, an American gay and lesbian news-magazine, Chaz identified herself as a lesbian and on June this year it was publicly announced that Chaz would undergo a gender transition procedure to physically get transformed into a man, after years of being in a dilemma of whether she should actually go ahead with the procedure. Chaz initiated the procedure by taking hormone injections around June and the entire gender reassignment procedure is scheduled to be completed by next year. Supposedly, Chaz also underwent an invasive gastric operation where in order to limit food intake a band had to be inserted around his stomach to ensure the final steps of his gender transition.

Lately, few picture’s of the musician has already started emerging on some online portals where he appears more like a man but it still remains unclear that whether Chaz has already surgically transformed herself into a man. After the completion of the entire procedure, he is expected to come forward as trans-gender person and highlight the issues confronted by the trans-gender community and appear as a pioneer to enable these people attain their true identity, in order to have a better life.

Reportedly, Chaz and his mother singer, Chez are already planning to launch a reality show after the transition process gets over.
