Santa Monica, May 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chaz Bono is now a man legally, because a judge ordered that Chaz could now change his name and gender. It ought to be mentioned that Chaz Bono was born as a female who was named ‘Chastity’. Her parents were Sonny Bono and Cher, and she underwent a sex-change operation last year, because she felt trapped in a girl’s body and wanted to be a man. And now with the legal sanction of the judge, the 41 years old writer, activist and reality TV star is now a man officially.

Attorney Kristina Werz represented Chaz in the ‘Transgender Law Centre’, and when the judge officially ruled that Chaz was now a man, then there was a huge sigh of relief all around. Wertz said that the judge’s order was the ultimate stamp of approval in Chaz Bono’s transition from a female in to a man, and this legal order would now reflect his new identity and gender on all his official documents as well.

Attorney Kristina Wertz says in a statement, “The court granted the petition and Chaz now has a court name change and a court order recognizing him as male. Chaz couldn’t be happier. This is an important step in his transition and will allow him to change a variety of his identity documents to show who he truly is.”
