Colorado, Oct 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The publicity hungry parents of the Balloon Boy, Richard and Mayumi Heene are likely to face charges on several counts.

Mayumi Heene is married to Richard Heene, who is said to be experimental scientist and a storm chaser and reportedly designed the experimental weather balloon. The couple has three children: Bradford, Ryo Heene and Falcon Heene.

Richard and Mayumi met in acting school in Hollywood and have twice appeared on ABC’s reality show “Wife Swap.”

“We certainly know that there’s a conspiracy between the husband and wife, you’ve probably seen some of the e-mails and some of the things on the Internet suggesting that there may be other conspirators,” Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden said. 


Mayumi Heene is the mother of the Balloon Boy Falcon Heene. Mayumi’s husband Richard had built a helium balloon at home. His son, Falcon climbed into the balloon and was assumed to have floated away. A massive search operation was launched which included helicopters and even the airport was shut down for over 2 hours. Later it was found that all this was a cheap publicity stunt, as the boy Falcon Heene was safe in his house hiding in the attic.
