Charges Dismissed Against Men Indicted For Troy Couple Murder

couTroy, New York, July 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The charges against the two men for the killing of a Troy couple in the year 2002 was finally dismissed by the Rensselaer County court on Friday. The verdict given out by the courtroom was welcomed by the families members of the two murder accused who cheered and hugged each other after the ruling was announced by County Judge Robert Jacon. The verdict was came as a huge relief to both the men who are currently serving sentences on unrelated drug charges.

The dismissal of the murder charges against Bryan Berry and Terrence Battiste comes just after about a month following the arrest of Michael Mosley who was implicated after his DNA matched the evidences that were found at the crime scene. 40-year-old Michael Mosley who is known to have a criminal record, was soon taken into custody by the authorities and his case in pending before a grand jury. The case against the two men collapsed completely after the evidences against Micheal Mosley was overwhelming due to which Friday’s verdict was something that was well expected by the family of the two men. Moreover, the family members of the murder victims also expressed support for the two men and hailed Friday’s decision of dismissing the charges against them as they did not want any innocent person remaining behind the bars for crimes they did not commit.

Bryan Berry and Terrence Battiste were charged in the double murder case of Arica Lynn Schneider, 18 and her 27-year-old boyfriend Samuel “Frost” Holley eight years ago.
