Dec 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Victoria Secret Fashion Show made the headlines for more than one reason after it aired on CBS on November 30. The show was taped in early November and people all over were eagerly awaiting to see the gorgeous models strutting their stuff in lingerie. While new mommys Adriana Lima and Karoline Kurkova sizzled with their smoldering bodies in spite of childbirth, one model made the news for her angel wings. Chanel Iman, the 20 year old stunner from Atlanta who celebrates her birthday today was seen sporting a wing made of bubbles.

The wing was designed by Ben Wilkinson-Raemer of NYDesigns. The 25-pound wing made of plastic bubbles might have been quite a weight on the sleek shoulders of the bombshell but she carried it in great style for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2010. Ben Wilkinson-Raemer said that the show was a great opportunity to showcase his designs which were created with unique materials. He said that it was the only show apart from the Broadway and movies where one gets to create things like these.

Ben Wilkinson-Raemer said that they spent months trying to attach a bubble machine to the wings but later realized that it simply was not feasible. Later they decided to make the bubbles stick to each other which was a different challenge altogether. Finally they managed to make the bubbles in the wings of Chanel Lima stick together with a unique side-riveting system. He also said that he and his partner were nervous when the models walked the ramp because of the delicate nature of the wings. He explained that everything went according to plan and they could not have asked for a better show. Chanel Iman was also armed with a $10 bubble gun while walking the ramp.
