July 11th, 2009 - 9:42 pm ICT by GD
In an unfortunate incident on Friday, stunt pilot Chandy Clanton was killed in an air crash. While her Edge 540 was ahead of the Wingnuts Flying Circus in Tarkio, Montanna, the mishap occurred. She was scheduled to fly at AirVenture this year. She was 36 years old; her death is indeed a great loss for the aviation enthusiasts.
Chandy Clanton is a major name in the aviation as she was the member of the United States Unlimited Aerobatic Team for three terms. Besides this, she has been a performer at the EAA AirVenture a lot of times. Although Clanton died during the course of the show, still the management decided to carry on with the show.
She is one of those talented people who had shot to fame at comparable younger age. At the age of 36, she had been designated as highly qualified pilot of high-tech Lear Jet and the vintage DC-3 besides being a aerobatic competitor that matched with world standards. Clanton, who hails from a family of aviators, is the daughter of an aviator and an aviatrix. She is also the proud mother of two children who are on the making of future aviators.
But her talent does not end here. She had been the President of a major bank, namely the Bank Iowa Corporation which has branches in almost 21 locations all over. Known as a brilliant aviator, she was a supporter of Mission Central for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
To aspiring aviators she will remain as a great source of inspiration.

She was killed in Tarkio, MISSOURI..not Montanna as you report. Mo. is the abbreviation for Missouri, NOT Montanna! So sad and a terrible loss. Bless her children.
