Cedar Rapids, Iowa couple arrested on drug, gun, perjury and obstruction charges
February 9th, 2010 - 12:26 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (BNO NEWS) – A couple from Cedar Rapids, Iowa were arrested on federal drug, gun, perjury and obstruction offenses, according to prosecutors on Monday.
DeShawn Hull, 28, was arrested last Wednesday and held without bond. In 2009, he allegedly distributed crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school after being convicted of two felony drug offenses.
Previously, in 2007, he possessed a handgun after he had been convicted of a felony and a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. If convicted of both charges, he would face a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment without parole.
Natalie Hull, 28, DeShawn Hull’s wife, is charged for committing perjury in 2009 when questioned by a grand jury and obstruction of justice for claiming to have found the handgun DeShawn Hull is charged with possessing.
If she is found guilty, she faces a maximum sentence of 15 years imprisonment without parole. The Hull’s trial is set for April 5, 2010.
