Arizona, Nov 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) One lucky cat survived when it was trapped on a giant cactus for three days. During the period, the animal went without food or water as locals and rescuers at Salt River in Arizona kept planning on a way to get it down.

The animal was stuck at about 20 ft up the cactus. It is not clear how it got there but some residents suggest that the animal chased a coyote there. Witnesses say although the animal seemed to be in trouble after being caught up there, it remained relatively calm throughout the ordeal.

During the deliberations on how best to save the animal, some locals suggested that the rescuers should take the bull by the horn and climb up the cactus. The firefighters said that was not such a good idea because it was both dangerous and unnecessary. They suggested that when the cat is ready to come down, it will find a way to descend.

That is exactly what the animal did on the final day of its ordeal. The descent of the animal was filmed by crew of FOX 9.

When the animal was examined, it appeared it had suffered only some minor cuts to the paw. Other than that, it was in a good health.
