Caribbean Airlines passenger plane crashes at Guyana airport
July 30th, 2011 - 6:41 pm ICT by BNO NewsGEORGETOWN, GUYANA (BNO NEWS) — A Caribbean Airlines passenger plane carrying more than 100 people crashed at Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Guyana on early Saturday morning, the airline said, causing some injuries.
A spokesperson for the airline said the accident happened at around 1.32 a.m. local time. There were no reports of fatalities but an unknown number of people were injured after the crash which involved Flight BW523.
