FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS (BNO NEWS) – A man of Carbondale, Illinois was sentenced to 135 months of imprisonment (more than 11 years) and five years of supervised release, on one count of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine, U.S. District Attorney Courtney Cos announced on Friday.
Raymond E. Blythe, aka “Bud” of “Ray-Bud”, 26, was arrested for participating in a crack cocaine trafficking ring. From August 2006 to August 2008, the drug distribution organization operated in Jackson and Williamson Counties. Seven individuals were indicted along Blythe.
Three of the co-defendants were already sentenced. One co-defendant pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentence. The remaining three individuals pleaded not guilty and are currently awaiting jury trial.
