Jan 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Matthew McConaughey and his longtime girlfriend Camila Alves has welcomed a new member in their family, their daughter Vida Alves McConaughey. The child was born on the Jan 3, at around 12:13 in the morning, according to the post on Matthew McConaughey’s website. Vida Alves McConaughey has been born a healthy child, weighing a little over 7lb 7oz. The daughter is their second child. The couple already has a one and a half year old son called Levi. The news of the baby’s arrival was first posted on the official website of Matthew McConaughey.

Mathew McConaughey and his girlfriend Camila Alves have been together for a pretty long time. In the post declaring the news of the arrival of their second child, Matthew McConaughey wrote that he and his girlfriend, and also the rest of their respective families are very happy at the arrival of the newest member of the family. He further commented that at present, Camila Alves is in the recuperating stage and that she is doing great.

The pregnancy had been announced sometime in June via their respective blogs. The family had not come to know the sex of the child till the moment of her birth. In September the last year, Matthew McConaughey had posted in his blog that neither he nor Camila Alves had any clue about what the child would be, a boy or a girl, but that he did have some intuitions about the matter. The name of the child, Vida, is the Portuguese word for “life”. As per the proud father, she has brought just that to him and his family.
