California Secretary of State Debra BowenCalifornia Secretary of State Debra Bowen is making inroads in agitating for major reforms in the state of California. She has confirmed that there are enough signatures submitted by the measures by ‘gay marriage ban’ sponsors to outlaw gay marriages in California. Pundits Recent have termed California voters as fifty fifty about the legitimacy of gay couples marriages. The California anti gay marriage requires 694,354 petitions to qualify for the ballot. Currently an election in California has indicated a record low turnout in the polling centers.

Riverside registrar of voters estimated that only 33% of the registered voters would cast the ballot. This is frustrating the electoral process due to bad perception and the division over opinion on the cause of the vote. Latest results in Sacramento’s mayoral elections project that there is a possibility of a run off between the contenders though its very minor numbers that voted by yesterday. The Sacramento county registrar of voters said the estimates are almost the same everywhere, small numbers of unenthusiastic voters.

In Ventura, the Ventura county registrar of voters indicated that the voters were against some policies and were voting to make these policies on property get out of their lives. The Ventura County primary results show a tight outcome while the turn out was very low. California elections officials blame the poor turnout on California’s rare split state primary and point out that the election was overshadowed by the interest in the Democratic and Republican nominations.

The Contra Costa County clerk-recorder said that the California, voters are now deciding on the primary races for the state’s 53 congressional seats, all 80 seats in the state Assembly and 20 seats in the state Senate. Smooth voting was observed in Los Angeles County.
