Hoorn, Apr 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If the Coen Brothers happen to read this, they will surely make out a pretty smart satire for the theatres. No this is not about any upcoming Hollywood flick. This is how a Dutch prison which calls itself to be a modestly protected environ, witnessed a burglary with an intention to steal away the television sets of the prison. This hard to believe incident happened two times within six weeks of difference, when the prison house inmates were busy on their weekend furloughs, which gave a smooth entry to the burglars into the cell.
Reportedly, the Hoorn town prison house which happens to be a minimum security facility, is a cell specially crafted for all life timers or inmates who are on a death row. It’s not that difficult to guess why the Dutch Ministry along with the Prison officials refer the prison house to be a jailhouse which is modestly guarded.
In spite of the “modesty” that makes the prison a different surrounding to live in, the security officials have no idea how the burglars were able to trip past the guards and break into the prison house on more than one occasion. The burglary attempt which was witnessed twice in a span of six weeks time sounds a little strange to the Dutch Ministry. It is also hard to believe that the burglars actually broke into the prison to steal the television sets that were kept for the entertainment of the prisoners. As a matter of fact, the televisions could have been stolen from any other place and the ministry is baffled at understanding why the burglars choose the prison to be their target place to carry out their operation.
