Bronx raid drug suspect’s dad shot

Bronx, Jan 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The father of a suspect was mistakenly shot at, during a raid on their home in Bronx by the police.

The police was out searching for 41-year-old Alberto Colon when the incident happened. The gun of one of the officers, Officer Andrew McCormack, accidentally shot the 76-year-old father of Colon.

The older man was shot in the stomach and was subsequently rushed to the hospital where he is currently recovering. The police say that he is now out of danger. The police say that his condition is now stable.

The incident happened on Saturday and the man was visited by the police on Saturday. The search on the house yielded some quantities of heroin.

The officer at the center of the accident, McCormack has been in the police force for 11 years now. His father was also a police officer but unfortunately he was killed while in the line of duty in 1983.

The police located Colon and arrested him. He is currently in the custody of the police waiting to be charged with the offence. As at Saturday evening, Colon was still being held by the police.
