Jan 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s oldest daughter Bristol Palin is demanding financial support from Levi Johnston, the father of her one-year old son, reports claim. The former Alaska governor’s teenage daughter is seeking approximately $1,750 per month from her former boyfriend, who she feels has not administered adequate financial contribution to the care of their son, Tripp.

Reportedly, 19 year old Bristol Palin is taking legal actions against the father of her child as he failed to provide enough financial assistance last year. The daughter of the Republican leader has filed a complaint in a court in Palmer, Alaska, which claims that she owes $18,350 from her former boyfriend who has shelled out only $4,400 since the birth of their son in the month of December 2008. Meanwhile, Thomas Van Flein, the attorney representing the former Alaska governor’s daughter, has emphasized that his client has provided almost all the care for the one-year old child with Levi Johnston providing only minimalistic support for their son.

However, the allegations have been refuted by Levi Johnston’s lawyer Rex Butler that his 19 year old client cannot be solely blamed for not providing financial support to take care of their child. The attorney emphasizes that Levi Johnston wanted to provide monetary help to Bristol Palin on a number of occasions but was unable to do so as the Republican politician’s daughter never turned up. The former vice-presidential nominee’s daughter had created quite a buzz during the 2008 presidential campaign as she was five months pregnant at that time while she was only 17 years old.
