Brian Wood’s Widow Thanks Gamers For Their Compassion And Support

Sep 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The video game designer of Relic Entertainment, Brian Wood breathed his last on September 5, 2010. The video game designer and his wife were driving to family members when the driver of an oncoming vehicle tried to take over their car. When Brian Wood saw the car coming in their way, he altered the direction to ensure the safety of his wife. With only seconds to react Brian Wood was killed instantly in the accident. However, recently all the gamers around the world united to send Erin Wood, the wife of Brian Wood their well wishes, prayers, and donations to support the family.
Erin Wood recently send an acknowledgment mail to one of the gaming blog where she thanked all the gamers for their love and support for her and her child, who is due to be born on November 5. A reputed media source reported that the driver of the Chevy Blazer was changing sweater when the tragic accident happened. The police even found heroine, cocaine, marijuana, syringes and pistol in the car. In her email Erin Wood thanked the “gaming community” for the overwhelming support provided to her in the past two weeks.
Erin Wood also maintained that Brian Wood always used to tell her how close “knit” the gaming community was and she had no idea until this tragedy happened to her. Erin Wood also added that from all the articles, comments, emails, donations she is “stunned” and “touched” by the love, kindness and generosity shown to her and her family. In the letter Erin Wood mentioned that the compassion and support of the gamers has been a light to her in her “impossible” situation.
