Brian Dugan gets death penalty for murder of Jeanine Nicarico

DuPage County, Nov 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Justice was delayed, but it finally happened. Brian Dugan finally got the death penalty for his vicious murder of Jeanine Nicarico, which he committed 26 years ago in 1983.

The jury deliberated and seemed to have reached a decision, but one juror wasn’t convinced and surprisingly the discussions reopened again. Then deliberating in total for around 11 hours and the jury decided to put Brian on the death row for his crime of kidnapping, raping and beating the 10-year-old girl Jeanine Nicarico, after breaking into her Naperville home.

It is said to be a unanimous decision to put Brian Dugan on the death row for all the 12 jurors.

When finally the jury decision was announced in the hushed courtroom full of anxious people, Jeanine’s mother sighed, and then started crying along with her other 2 daughters.

Later to the media she said that, the decision to put him on the death row brought some relief to them and also brought a measure of closure to this agonizing case for them.
