T.V. presenter Wallace Souza has come into question for ordering allegedly atleast five killings, in order to subdue rivalry in drug trafficking. The state legislator is actually being accused of being responsible for a T.V. show that not only reports crimes but is shockingly is itself behind the crimes as well. This is being done by the politician to cite that the region he legislated as state legislator is steeped in crime.
A police official told the Associated Press that heinous crime from the presenter and his son Rafael were commissioned and T.V. crew were alerted right in time so that it could enhance a positive rating of their presentation.
“On several occasions they fabricated the facts, they fabricated news.” State Security Secretary Calvacanti said. It was being said that the political position had acted as an immunity factor for Souza against on whom action was not being taken even though officials knew he possessed weapons illegally. Rafael has been arrested on allegations of murder, drug trafficking and having guns.
Wallace Souza came to his defense saying, “I was the one who organized legislative inquiries into organized crime, the prison system, corruption.” He said it was a move of rivals to sabotage his public image. His lawyer Francisco Balieiro said the allegations were absurd and there was no material proof or witnesses to confirm such accusations. The politician was a police officer prior to assuming such a prominent position and has records of fuel theft and pension frauds to his credit.
He said the crime reports on his show were vouched for by well-placed correspondents and no such conspiracy.
