Utah, Aug 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a recent development in Salt Lake City a teenage boy reportedly received serious injury after he was hit by a large SUV. The incident took place on Monday morning. The city police said that the teenager whose 14 years old was crossing the Foothill Boulevard at 8 am when the mishap took place. The collision was severe as one of the eyewitnesses said that the boy was thrown off the ground after he was hit and fell some feet away. The investigating officers are not too sure if it was the boy’s fault or the driver of the SUV was guilty. It has been reported that the driver did not violate any traffic rule and he got the green signal when the accident took place.

The Salt Lake City Police Department’s detective Pat Wilkinson said that the place where the mishap took place is a busy intersection. However, he maintained that inspire of the traffic load one can avoid being hit by cars if he pays attention to the traffic lights while crossing roads. The boy is recovering from his injuries though his exact condition is yet to be known. The boy was reportedly crossing against the signal and he was in a crosswalk.

The boy did not lose his consciousness totally after the accident. Even when the medical crews reached the spot he was awake and talked to them. As per the latest news, the driver of that SUV has not been cited. The medical crews took the injured boy to a hospital to diagnose possible internal injury. The cops said that many schools are opening this week so pedestrians should be more careful while crossing roads.
